vessel: clem
clem is the widest vessel i have ever made, using the most clay also. clem is a stoneware, strap built vessel, decorated with only 1 layer of slip.
clem is based entirely on pattern and free movement of clay. i did not plan the shape nor the pattern until the moment before making decisions. The building of the vessel took two weeks.
i have photographed clem recently in my garden series. i have created a small booklet on clem, available to view here.
