CAFE 44
sen outreach project
supported by 44AD Artspace
oct 2021 - feb 2022
CAFE 44 is a fortnightly art programme for young people living with additional needs. The aim of the programme is to provide a regular arts group where young people can build friendships outside of school, whilst being allowed to get messy and creative using the wide range of resources we have.
The programme is entirely free and all materials will be provided. This provision offers specialist care where needed, all staff are experienced and have good knowledge of working with disabled young people. The aim for the CAFE 44 group is to be an entirely inclusive and collaborative space whilst still offering formal tutoring of certain art mediums such as ceramics, printing and painting. Many workshops will be delivered by artists who are passionate about equal opportunities for young people with additional needs.
The sessions run from 4:30-6:30 after school on Friday at Odd Down Community Centre with a final exhibition on 31st January at 44AD Artspace in central Bath.
