Francie Brown

about

Francie Brown is a multidisciplinary artist based in Bath and currently an artist in residence at 44AD artspace after graduating with a first class degree earlier this year from Bath School of Art. Francie’s practice centres around the amalgamation of ceramic vessels, soft sculptures and paintings to create playful environments. Which act, almost as sets, playing out scenes of the domestic space.
Francie also works as a designer, producing resources, publications and content. Lately, Francie has produced a film for Bath County Council which centres around young people and Covid-19. When she isn’t creating work, she is the Project Director of CAFE 44 (Creative Arts for Everyone) which is a registered charity supported by 44AD Artspace. She is also a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, School Librarian and presents a late night comedy show on Radio Bath.
Francie has exhibited in exhibitions at Walcot Chapel, The Holburne Museum and most recently curated GUTS Contemporary Sculpture exhibition at 44AD artspace.
